BS 5400

The density of normal weight concrete is given in Appendix B as 2300 kg/m3.

The design strength is given in Figure 6.1 by

fcd=0.6fc/γf_{cd}=0.6 f_c/ \gamma \\

The tensile strength is given in 6.3.4.2 as

fct=0.36 fcf_{ct}=0.36 \space \sqrt{f_c} \\

but A.2.2 implies a value of 1MPa should be used at the position of tensile reinforcement.
