1D Member Axes
Member axes for linear members are defined in a similar manner to the axes of beam elements by two nodes locating the ends of the member. The x axis of the element is along the axis of the element (taking account of any offsets) from the first topology item to the second. For curved members the basic axis system of linear members holds.
Check Member End Rotations
This option allows the member end rotations for the selected case to be calculated and reported
Create Member Timeline
When considering the construction stages of a model, particularly when creep and shrinkage are a concern it is useful to be able to assign a timeline to a member or set of members. This is not used directly by GSA at present.
Definition
The member wizard can be activated from the Members Table view using the wizard button or from a Graphic view by selecting a member and then Edit member from the right-click menu.
Design Properties
These options are available for 1D members when the section material is steel. They define the properties relating to design from the interaction of the member with the rest of the structure.
