Modal Forces

In a modal analysis the structure can be considered as a series of single degree of freedom (spring / mass) oscillators. To carry out post-processing for effect of loading using the modal results requires construction of the corresponding modal forces. These are defined as the dot product of the load vector and the mode shape.

The output is reported in the message pane.
