# Load Case Specification
When loads are applied to the model they are assigned to a load case. Load cases should be assigned to simplify the management of the data. Load cases, when referred to in lists, are prefixed with an “L” (e.g. L2). See Lists for more details.
The Load Cases are simply titles for these load cases defined elsewhere.

Name
The name for a load case where the loads are defined elsewhere.
Case Type
Defines the type of load case. The options offered are specific to the selected load design code, but include dead, live, snow, seismic, etc.
Source
A way of grouping load cases with the same action.
Category
Specified the category of loading. The options offered are specific to the selected load design code, but include domestic office, storage, roof, etc.
Direction
For loading such as seismic the direction in which it is applied
Include
Specified if adverse (unfavourable) and/or beneficial (favourable) effects should be included.
