# Enveloping
Where data can be enveloped, the output produced consists of the maximum value and minimum value and a reference to an envelope permutation number that produces the maximum or minimum value.

By default, the envelope is produced for all components. It is possible to specify that the envelope belongs to a particular subject component. In this case, other components are output as coexistent values for the permutation that produced the maximum or minimum value for the subject component.
