Member Internal Restraint Specification
These are the default settings for steel member restraints, and are used if the member restraints are set to "Auto". It works by checking member connections and adding design restraints where appropriate.
Definition
Axial buckling
Specifies that the secondary member can provide restraint against major and/or minor axes buckling of the primary. An angle tolerance provide a limit on deciding which secondary members can provide restraint.
Lateral torsional buckling
Specifies that the secondary member can provide restraint to the top and/or bottom flange of the primary against lateral torsional buckling. An angle tolerance provide a limit on deciding which secondary members can provide restraint.
Span restraint
Specifies that the spans can provide lateral torsional restrain to the top and/or bottom flange.
