Generate Response Spectrum

In most cases a code based response spectrum is what is required, but on occasions it is useful to be able to generate a spectrum from a given time history. When selecting this option a time history must first be selected. This is a text file either in tab of comma separated form, or a PEER file.

If the file contains more than one time-history record select the appropriate record.

Spectrum Details

Specify the details such as title, number of spectral values and acceleration option to be used in the new spectrum.

Damping

Set the level of damping for use in the spectrum calculation. This must be greater than zero.

Peak Acceleration

By default the peak acceleration is derived from the input time history but the user can override this value and set a desired maximum acceleration.
