Installing and using GsRevit

This entry outlines how to use GsRevit to bi-directionally export, import and update data in GSA.

Initial setup

Install Revit and GSA in the following sequence to see the GsRevit plug-in in Revit.

  1. Install Revit
  2. Install GSA

Note: If Revit is installed after GSA then run GsaRegister.exe with administrative rights, located in the GSA installation directory. The video below describes how to set up the GsRevit plug-in.

Section mapping

GSA maps sections in the following ways:

  • One-to-one mapping
  • High level mapping

Export to GSA

GsRevit allows you to export a Revit model in GSA as well as updating existing GSA models to reflect changes in Revit. Refer to the Export to GSA references for a more detailed explanation.

Import from GSA
